Disruptions can be a beautiful thing. So often we are running around with a specific tasks that we believe must get done at a specific point. Totally focused, we can very easily miss the beauty of each moment until a disruption appears: A random conversation, a task assigned, or a sudden roadblock. We have a choice to look at these moments as simply distractions or an opportunity to more fully live life in each gifted moment we are given. I used to need things to be my own way but now I hold many things with an open hand, letting disruptions come, knowing it forces me to live in the present.
