Jake’s full time Roles

Student Pastor: ‘20- Now

Role- Leading both High School and Middle School Ministry which includes multiple staff members. A Pre-Covid average attendance of over 250+ students with a roster of 400+. Role did not exist at Eastlake Church for over seven years prior but brought it back due to Eastlake’s trust in Jake’s ability to lead.
Success During Covid
- Brought back Camp Culture by executing on a never before strategy of Winter Camp and a brand new location on Catalina Island for summer camp.
- All spots are filled for all camps, allowing us to have a total of 356 spots in 2023.
- Created a strategic leader system that consistently yields around 50+ adult and young adult leaders managing almost all aspects of ministry including leading leaders.
-One of three staff members that reports directly to the Senior Pastor. Our staff includes over 70+ members.
-Created a Student Conference called StudentCon with 200+ Students for the past two years since camp was not a safe option.

Middle School Pastor- Two Years

**Role-** Coordinate and execute four services each weekend with an average of 194 attending students, lead a staff of 4, an Associate Pastor (Full Time), Worship Leader (Part Time), a Media Director (Part Time), and a Pastoral Intern while simultaneously taking on the Middle School Pastoral role and Growth Group Pastor role (previously two separate full time responsibilities).
**Successes**
-Grew weekly attendance by 22%.
-Started Aux clubs (School groups that meet during lunch). Our Aux clubs cumulatively averaged over 300 Students.
-Created a strategic leader system that consistently yields an average of at least 5 adult or young adult leaders per service
-Managed all aspects of a $35,000 budget.

Student Groups Pastor- 18 Months

**Role-** Full-time Pastor over (25+) small groups from 6th to 12th grade while recruiting and developing adult leaders and facilitating students into a healthy community.
**Successes**
-Grew small group leaders from 22 to 57 within 14 months of accepting position.
-Grew Middle School Group attendance 41% and grew High School Group attendance by over 120%.
- 13 new groups, growing the ministry from 150 students to over 351 students

Next Step Ministries

**Role-** Partnered with a not-for-profit ministry organization in order to lead a summer of high school and middle school short-term mission trips.
**Successes**
- Led 12 different youth groups in 9 weeks.
- Preached 56 sermons and led 58 worship sessions, providing spiritual tools to impact hundreds of lives within a 4-month span.

Thrive

Role- Instituted and guided a monthly worship night to develop a middle ground where people can freely encounter God. Work included creating the concept, producing the event, leading worship, speaking, and instructing a base of student volunteers.

Successes

- Averaged 60 students over a 2-year span.

- Led a team of 8 student interns

- Efficiently and successfully passed Thrive on to new leaders

Professional Ambassador Crew

**Role-** Cultivated a group of MVNU students who led with passion, authenticity, and character.
**Successes**
- Intentionally handpicked 30 tour guides who aid prospective students in imagining at Mount Vernon Nazarene University
- Created an organized system, monthly leadership seminars, and a healthy team dynamic.
- Efficiently and successfully passed PAC on to new leaders

NotFar Internship

**Role-** In 2012, traveled to India to shoot, edit and produce healthcare videos for impoverished, illiterate mothers. In 2016, learned the ins and outs of running and growing a non profit ministry organization, working daily as team leader in graphic design and content generation.
**Successes**
- Aided in designing, developing, and implementing a hybrid learning system for an organization of over 90 churches
