Leading with Vision
How do we lead with vision?
We embody the vision we wish to create. Leading with Vision is inviting someone into a new way of living life. So what is my vision? I dream of a world where my community is seeking and seizing moments to love people big as we go. If this is the vision, the first question that needs to be asked is this: “Are you the walking embodiment of that vision?” “Do I unite people together, create belonging?” “Am I a safe space where people can lay down their weight?” If I am not a living breathing version of the vision, it will never catch like wildfire.
We need to make the sacrifice to live out our own vision, why? Your legacy is tied directly to your level of sacrifice. On the other side of sacrifice is legacy. The craziest thing about all of this is that your sacrifice is ultimately going to be your joy!
“For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
That’s insane! By sacrificing his very own life, Jesus perfectly embodies his vision; showing everybody how we can live life and life to its fullest.
