Pain & Pleasure
Okay, I promise this is the last nature post of the week. I know, I know, three in one week is a little excessive. With that said, I want to talk about contrast in nature. Firstly, this is Lindsay Berry, she's a great friend and a wonderful person to travel with. Okay, here's the question I've been pondering all day:
Why do I love hiking so much?
Often times we can do things without thinking through it, I believe this can be dangerous as we can never understand the deeper importance.
So back to the question, why do I love hiking? I love the contrast between the pleasure of nature, and the pain of the hike. Both pleasure and pain work together to create an interesting experience. The pain inspires me to pursue the pleasure of the peak, and the pleasure of the peak, inspires me to pursue the pain of the hike. Are you confused yet? HA, it took me a while to understand what I was even saying!
On that note, go hiking. Yes, you will experience both pain and pleasure, but instead of fighting the contrast, embrace it.
