My Two Week Spring Break
Humans are made to have purpose. Having something that gets you up in the morning matters.
I had a two week spring break my senior year of college:
The first week I lead a mission trip to Indianapolis. I was exhausted and did not want to lead, but in the midst of it all, I had a great time.
The next week I spent at home, nobody was home besides me. Taking a break felt nice for the first three days; yet, after those three days, I started feeling emotionally unhealthy. I had a headache and laid in bed watching movies all day. Having no routine, no way of life, made me feel a heaviness that wasn’t healthy.
Even if your purpose is to go for a walk everyday, you’ll be surprised by how much of a difference that can make in your emotional health.
