A Dynamic God

Let me rock your boat:

  • I don't think you always need to be listening to Christian music to be a "Good Christian".
  • I don't think you need to go to Church every Sunday to be a "Good Christian.
  • I don't think you need to always be speaking about God to be a "Good Christian".

Can I say that? Is that heretical?

Hear me out.

Since God is in everything, we cannot and should not reduce him down to an action, no matter what that action might be. Of course, there are helpful ways to connect with God, but when we box him into the category of "Christian Music" or "Church" we are missing out on much more than we might think.

I do believe that Community, Bible, and prayer should be praised as the primary methods to connecting with God, but not as the only methods.

Why am I saying this? I am saying this to hopefully inspire you to connect with God in a different way than just what happens in the confines of the church, or a "Christian song".  If you can, God will consistently blow your mind with how dynamic He is.

P.S. I found God in Seattle today. I went to the first Starbucks ever created and I was amazed that such a healthy companym in which helped millions of lives, started in such a small storefront.
